I am a computer Tach. and I just Found WireShark.

I see it can be used to get Passwords and Usernames and other infor from any computer on my Network.

But I need some help because I am new to WireShark.

I have a Friend and they can not Login to FaceBook.

They don't have the Username and Password.

They did what I tell everybody not to do.
I tell people never let the Browser remember your Login infor.

So they go to Forgot Pawword and things like this.

And they put in there e mail address.

And FaceBook tells them it will e mail them a reset code.

It never does.

Then I found out they did again what I tell people not o do.
I tell people never change you e mail address and forget to tell FaceBook your new E Mail.

So I wanted to know can I use WireShark on my End to get into there FaceBook.
And reset it?

And help will be ok.

 

Maybe your friend should seek help themselves. There is nothing inherently wrong with using a web browser to remember passwords, just as there is nothing at all wrong with updating a Facebook email address IF the person wants to get email notifications. If a person knows how to configure those things in a web browser, and knows how to back up and protect their profile data, the issue you pose doesn't exist. Your comments are pretty paranoid with no good reason.

Facebook support will help your friend - it's not for you.

If you are now wanting us to help you with software to spy on networks and specifically on a friend's Facebook account no one here should help you with that, I'm not doing that. Your friend should sort out their own problem.
If you don't know how to use that software maybe ask the developer.

 

What I ment to say is my Friend never Updated his FacBook e mail so they are sending him the Reset code to his old e mail.

I tell people all the time if you get a new e mail do not forget to update the facebook one.

And no I do not want to spy on his FaceBook.
I thought I could get into his account then Update his E Mail.

Facebook support will do that when that friend goes though the standard security questions.
You getting into someone else's account is mostly illegal. And using hacking software is illegal when it breaches privacy and that's what you would be doing if you pursued it.

 

Max is right. FB has a procedure for that. There is no need for you to potentially break the law.
