Wise Care 365 seems suspicious!

I installed Wise Care 365 a few days ago and now I'm experiencing totally new problems including system sluggishness and my first ever system crash. Windows caught it in time to prevent a major meltdown but it threw me back to a DOS screen.

After I first ran Wise Care 365 I noticed a marked improvement in system performance which then quickly deteriorated.

    Is anyone experiencing similar.

The only other software installed recently is Lightworks Video Editor . Is Lightworks suspect?

    TIA

Don I use Wise Care 365 but only the Common Cleaner option and never had any problems in Win 8.1. I am not familiar with Lightworks so can't comment on it. Curious if you ran the Registry Cleaner option of Wise Care 365? I am not a registry cleaner fan myself. Others here might have other opinions on that.
Have you tried a System Restore to a date before you installed these two programs or uninstalling one of those programs and seeing if it fixes your problem?

Don, when I recommended Wise Care 365 I said it's a powerfull program that should be used with care. I also posted a link to the online documentation. There are restore options in the program.
But I doubt the problem is with Wise Care 365. Look at what Lightworks Video Editor may have added. System Configuration and Services are the first two you should look at.

I wasn't blaming anyone except myself.

I ran Wise Care 365 with the default options.

    I think it's a valuable cleanup tool.

Re: Lightworks, is a Video Editor and the current beta is free - right within my budget. It has a steep learning curve that I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around and I have to prepare a 5-10 minute testimonial for a music software developer. Any suggestions for a Video Editor that supports special effects (text and graphics)?

I'm using Windows Movie Maker but it's very bland. :-o:major

Yes, Lightworks Video Editor does have a steep learning curve.
