wlan xp pro sharing

    i have 2 computers each w/xp pro whan accessing a shared folder on the other computer .exe and .zip files won't open( file sharing or file permissions problem) but .doc etc will share i used to be able to share exe and zip files. can anyone help please thanks in advance. ms home is on both workgroups.

    thanks for reading i believe i fixed it the "everyone" permission was incorredt

    glad you figured it out. if you are not concerned about intranet security (just your home network) you might choose to enable Simple file sharing. it is the easiest way to share what you choose, without having to set user permissions
