WMA protected files in iTunes?

Hi everyone- Mine's more an annoyance than a problem, but I recently got an iPod so I've found myself using iTunes a lot more. In the past I've always used Windows Media, I have a PC running on Windows XP so it worked out. Most of my music files were converted from WMA format so iTunes could play them and I could import them on my iPod, but for certain CD's I keep getting a message saying the files are WMA protected and therefore can not be converted. I could find all the original CD's, but I'm in the middle of a move and I think the CD's are somewhere overseas, if they exist at all. It'd be a real pain to have to try track down every one. Does anyone know of a way which I can convert these files to play in iTunes or any way to get them on the iPod? Thanks!

 

Whenever I want to convert my files, especialyy the protected ones, i use Tunebite. It converts a lot of formats, including the iTunes, and losing loosing the protection in the process.

Thank you so much! I tried doing that, and it worked fine, but for some reason all the songs Tunebite does get shortened to a minute, or around there. Most of them show up as one minute exactly, with the occasional extra second. In other words, the song plays perfectly for the first minute, but then it ends and switches to another song. Is there any way to fix this?
