Can you do anything in safe mode. What is your OS?

Hi Tim ..... yes I can run in safe mode ....I did make an attempt to run the procedures but what would run found no issues ...I'm sure you might see something in the logs ...

RougeKiller failed on first attempt and said it sent a report to RK. If I try to run i now it will not run ...just a quick open and then closes by itself ...

    .......thanks ....otf

I will attach the logs from another post from the problem PC

I am not finding much in the way of malware in your logs.

Run this: Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Now copy just the bold text below to notepad (Do not include any space above the word REGEDIT
). Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once
you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

See if you can find and delete:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\{9BD90256-920A-46F9-9383-7E72AE670EEE}

Tell me what is happening now.

ran fixME.reg and removed Windows Messenger .... I did get the "removal Successful" message ....
There is no "{9BD90256-920A-46F9-9383-7E72AE670EEE}" file .... at least I could not find it ....rebooted into normal mode and still getting WMI message ....10-15 times in 5 mins ....now none for 10 mins or so ...performance is slow but it has not locked up yet and can access net ....

I suggest you pursue that issue in the software forum. That is not a malware issue.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
