Windows Media Player

Ok I got a new 64 3000 939 and Gigabyte MB last week and its giving me so many problems like Memory and crashes and a load of stuff.. It seems the crashes have died down a bit and I dont get them much anymore (Not sure what changed).

I am posting this time due to a Windows Media Player issue. I downloaded some videos from www.warcraftmovies.com
I always use to download movies from here on my old Intel CPU and MB and they always ran fine but now when I try to open these files it says Internal Error or something such as that. Then I can do anything else with my desktop for a while.

The file I tried to open stays highlighted and I cant open anything else on my desktop because no matter what I click on the WMP file stays highlighted. All I can do is open like IE from Start Menu or right click on the file. So I tried to right click on it and did Open With and tried a DIVX player and Quicktime and both gave me the same error saying that the file is not a valid W32.wmv or something like that. It does this with all 3 clips I downloaded.

So I searched around and got clips from other places and got the same results. I cant even open WMP anymore because when I do I get the Internal Error message. Anyone know what would cause this?
