What is with women and NOT being able to use the remote controller? :confused
I can't understand it.... She comes to me and says.. Any time something other than changing a channel or turning up/down the volume, I might as well give the remote to my 2 yr. old. :p I've showed her 500 times how to go from HDMI 1, to HDMI 2. :(

Do you have any idea where you are posting this and the fact that probably every female on this board not only knows how to use the remote, but probably programs it for their significant other?? :-D

My husband has to have me or my 15 yr old Daughter help him when he gets stuck. :p So my question is what's with men and thinking it's the remote's fault (or someone else's) when they can't get it to work right?

Well, I don't have any trouble operating remote controls as such, it's just that there are no less than seven remotes for my A.V. rack. And ya, I've tried several of the 'universal' remotes without success. They are either for weird Asian frequencies, or just won't freakin' work on anything. I have one that every time I go to turn the T.V. on or off, starts making the DVD and Blu-Ray players going screwy....Grrr!!.
I even have a giant sized remote control that I can't misplace. Which would be a great Idea if only the friggin' thing worked!:mad
    Ahh, technology!...Maybe I should just read a book.rolleyes

In general, women are inferior to men when it comes to technology.

    FACT.

*Predicts motc's duck and whacks him upside the head with the remote*:p

More like men for the most part play like they know what they are doing (kind of like not asking for directions when driving).:-D

The remote is man's domain, just as the kitchen is woman's domain. :-D

I realize there are VERY FEW exceptions to the rule that MOTC stated earlier, and I supose you are one of them. Things are really bad at my moms house, they too have like 4-5 remotes, and all do something different, and my dad has to hold my moms hand constantly. Luckily, we only have 2. One for the TV, which is used like twice a year, and the satellite remote.

I knew I was getting shafted, I have to cook in my house. :cry

Unfortunately, those "very few" exceptions to your "rule" are ALL on this board. Most of us build computers for fun, so making a generalized statement such as yours is ignorant and offensive.
