I certainly did not take this pic.
They say a picture paints a thousand words, the small bird is protecting it's nest by pecking the head of the predator.

I'm not sure what the little guy is but he ain't an Evening Grosbeak, a Western Kingbird or an Oriole/Icterid perhaps? Any idea where the photo was taken Bill?

What a shot! Amazing how fearless some can be when it comes to their own.

 

I believe it was taken in Colorado, the big one is a red tailed falcon but the small one i don't know??

While searching for the pic again (can't find it ) i found this and i suspect it is an Australian goose??

Back to the original pic, pretty sure the small bird is a Western Kingbird now, distribution is ok for Colorado and according to Pete Dunne "aggressively intolerant of hawks, corvids and other Western Kingbirds in it's territory ... " and the big bird looks like it's a Red-tailed Hawk.
