    Hello
    I installed the least amount of choices on the Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 cd as my Canon printer requires "Word" in order to function.
    When I look at all programs, there are eight Office programs that I don't need which are heavy on the pc. Word is listed by itself when the arrow expandsin all programs.
    Is there some way to install ONLY Word from the cd?
    Thank you

    Hi

    Yes when installing you have the option of Custom install, which will allow you to un-check the Office components you don't want, alternatively if Office or whole of it is already installed go to Add/Remove and highlight Office and click Change then in the box that pops up un-check the options you don't want or right click and choose Not Available

    Halo
    I'm always afraid of deleting things like drivers so it is hard to pick and choose sometimes.
    That being said, I understand your message completely and will now attend to remedial work.
    Thanx much

    Peterr, no probs, understand on deleting things without knowing background info and glad the info helped :) I more than not often with all applications choose if they offer it the custom install and nail down what is installed that I want over the default.

    Re:uninstall/reinstall a driver

    Hi David
    Sorry I could not find the exact driver thread but I need to confirm one of our conversations.
    Installing and reinstall a new driver;
    Display for example;
    Download and install MG Driver Sweeper then download the lastest driver version( See dev manger +manuf) for your driver BUT don’t install either yet. Uninstall the driver from dev manager, remember the name and then boot to safe mode.
    In Safe Mode run Driver Sweeper of driver's name to remove remnants.
    Boot to normal and install driver from desk.
    Check both device manager and add/remove for duplicates.
    If still tr = ask help re:C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore

    Does the above sound correct?
    Thank you
    Peter
