Word opens instead of Internet Explorer

often, not always, when I click inside a site to go to another page.

Thank you members for your past help!! I think I must have chosen something wrong and can't find it in what I think are the regular ways: Control Panel> Set Program Access and Computer Defaults> or Control Panel> Internet Options.

It's very difficult because I can't do anything with a webpage trying to open in a [read only] page of Word and, of course, cannot use the site. It's only been happening since last Fall so I keep thinking I must have changed something by mistake. It doesn't happen every single time I'm in a site so some must have a different setting that overrides whats in mine? It was around the time I installed Internet Explorer 9 Beta so I wonder if it happened during that?

I suggest running through the steps in that thread, let us know what you've tried and if any symptoms have changed.

If IE9 is suspect, you might try loading Firefox, see if that changes anything.
