Working too hard?

I think I have been working too long in the social service field. I read the heading only, to start with, and thought "What were they thinking taking drugs on board???"

Hmmm...I didn't mean for this thread to become a slant on NASA...more humor aimed at my own narrow mindedness due to the nature of my work.

We have a NASA geek on board here at MGs....so just wanted to make that clear

Well it does state that they are to spend 2 weeks at the orbital outpost in order to deliver supplies and equipment!!

Much needed supplies it would seem....

Not one of the Beebs best story titles!

Has to be a PITA for all concerned in the mission project as again the worlds press and NASA bashers in congress will have their sabres out and rattling again for what is a cutting edge means of transport to be scrapped, just think if some of the life saving drugs we have today, if they were not tested due to being life threating... the void of weightlessness and a sterile enviroment may help in creating new drugs to battle many diseases we are struggling to create on terra firma.

The crew and mission engineers know only too well how important safety is BUT they take this risk for the love of the job and to push mankinds boundarys into the stars.

I hope they do choose not to fly if it would be safer to change the tank, over missing any launch windows... but I'm not in the loop so we shall see, but I wish all a safe trip.

It's all good. Just my odd sense of humor. I love all the work that NASA does and would wish them no ill will ever.

But I wouldn't put it past some bean counter in Washington DC to come up with some hairbrained scheme to try and make money.

Must admit that I had to read and reread the link to see any reference to drugs, but finally caught the "crack" angle. Best wishes to star 17 and crew in this endevor!
