Works Database Disappearing

I'm working with a company that uses an OLD (obviously) Works Database to keep track of their customer's orders. I recently replaced one of their workstations and (naturally) they could not find the dirt old version of Works 6.0 they were using. I installed Works 8.0. Their database opened and all seemed right with the world. Over the last few weeks they've been calling me saying that the database will "disappear" while working on the new workstation. I look at the server and sure enough the file is gone. I have to recover from backup.

I can't replicate the problem, but it continues to happen to them. At first I thought it was something they were doing. Now I don't believe that's the case. I've checked the AV logs and that doesn't seem to be the problem.

If this was due to moving to 8.0 I would figure the problem would have manifested itself earlier.

This is an odd one and I'm out of ideas....
