    I have a new dell with a geforce9800gtx. It's a quadcore vista64 machine with 6gb ram and an antec 650 ps. I get only 30~fps when I'm outside (80+ in instances).

I've heard that there is some sort of issue between WoW and the chipset in this video card. Is there truth to this? Is there any solution?

    Thanks.

    A couple of things:
Make sure you have fully updated video drivers from Nvidia's site.
Go to eset.com and run the online scanner, make sure your computer is not infected with viruses.

I do not know if there are problems with the specific graphics card. I did a google search: http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&...0gtx+world+of+warcraft+low+frame+rate&spell=1

I did not find anything useful other than faster graphics card perform better at higher resolutions. Your best bet would be to email the World of Warcraft support and ask them.
