Wow, those engines are huge. I carry scars on my finger from starting little .049 engines back when I flew U-control planes. (The ones on two strings and went around in circles) Those monsters would take you finger (or hand) off.

 

I wish i had the money for something like that but only half or 1/4 the size and i would get one of a B-17, B-24, P-38, a Cessna Seaplane, a Bell 206 jetranger painted like Santini Air with skids or floats and one of the Bell-222 Airwolf. lol i bet that thing cost about 10K just to build if not more i wonder how much fuel that thing burns in one flight

 

Wow!!! that thing is awesome. I was wondering if they were going to have a hard time landing it, but the guy nailed it!

 

we have two frankenstien rc stunt airplains, that we contantly crash, i would be so nervous about crashing that, you could do some serious damage!

 

That's why I loved stunting with u-controlled planes back in the days before RC. If you damaged something, it was usually repairable with a little glue, balsa, and paint. A couple hours later you were back flying. The most expensive part was the engine and we rarely damaged them. Although there was a time a wing-over didn't quite work right, due to a weird wind gust and I totally froze a crank by bending it, after power diving into asphalt. LOL We would take off from picnic tables, planks, launch by hand, or any way we could get into the air, if we couldn't find an empty parking lot to fly in. And then you had the landing to consider. Those planes did not land well on anything that was not smooth. I broke many wings, stablizers, and rudders landing on grass or sand. Lots of fun.
