old salt i meet starts telling me how big K-porn is. now, i'm no prude, but i am a little startled at his directness. especially in front of his wife.

besides which, i thought J-porn still ruled?

i express my skepticism. while K-porn has definitely been on the rise the past 20 years, it still has a long way to go to catch up to J-porn. frankly, i can't imagine it can match J-porn in ANY commercial measure -- magazine sales, video rentals, website visitors, paid downloads, etc etc.

on top of which, the rise in K-porn is all rather recent. i believe it was close to non-existent at the time this guy was in the service. heck, even J-porn was rare back then, wasn't it all swedish up until around 1970?!

yet he keeps insisting: K-porn is huge, always was huge, and we spent a lot of time around it in the navy. his wife even chimes in, telling me she knows a lot of her husband's buddies and -- "trust me" -- they all spent a lot of time around K-porn back in the day.

i extricate myself from this extremely awkward conversation and slink on home.

about an hour later i realize they meant cape horn...

I'm startled by your vast knowledge of porn, available at a moments notice AND alphabetized. Also the accumulation of ear wax that would lead to a conversation like that in the first place...

 

i actly don't know of any besides C J and K. same as with "-pop" or "-town".
