One more reason why you should use a different password for EVERY online account you use . . . a different password for email (and if you have more than one email address, use a different password for each one), a different eBay password, a different Facebook password, a different Twitter password, a different Major Geeks password, etc....

Yeah, it's a pain-in-the-a$$, but safety is what it's about. There are password mgmt programs available here at MG that are free.....

It can be difficult. It all depends on how secure you want your information. The passwords could be simple variations based on the site you go to. for example a password of "dIngd0Ng" could be "dIngd0NgfB" for facebook and maybe "dIngd0NgmG" for MajorGeeks.

 

Yeah, good idea shnerdly. There are also password management programs that can be configured to keep track of all your passwords for all your different accounts, and they'll provide the needed password when asked.... and there's always a pen and a piece of paper LOL

I used to think notepad was a good idea for all the passwords until my laptop was stolen!
