hey all i don't know if any of you remeber but i did the best inventions ever thread a while ago and now i wanna know what you think the worst inventions are

RJ style connectors.

Agreed, they are very useful for making cables fast, but really that little tag breaks EVERY TIME. If you try to drag it around a corner (if you're trying to take it out of a building, for example), you are almost garunteed to have it snapped off.

when I was a kid, I had this toy. .all it was was a big "U" with a handle
and a wheel that had a peg on either side. . the purpose?
to make the wheel go back and forth. . . yea that was freakin fun

Tossup between computer malware (virus/trojan/spyware) and spam.

 

I had one. Good mindless entertainment.

 

Microsoft Works = Oxymoron...

Some of the worst, Most Ill-thought out, Broken Inventions Ever Designed/Made:-

1) An ejector seat for a Helicopter!
2) Swimming pool for a submarine.
3) Toothless comb for bald men.
4) World’s first square wheels.
5) A Ladder with wheels on the bottom that don't fold in!
6) Pants made of Aluminium Foil. (They fell apart in about five minutes - just long enough to get a mile or so down the street! )
7) A "Safety" syringe needle - that was as blunt as a bowling ball.
8) Toilet paper made of cloth so the user can wash and re-use it! (Who forgot to wash! )
9) A spade with a bottom part as big as a teaspoon and a full-sized handle. (Inventor claims it's great for people with bad backs (and presumably a LOT of time!), and lazy people that want to impress the neighbours)


Perhaps the most useless 'invention' of all time:
***10) Snake's shoes (no not shoes made of snake skin), but cute little Gym Boots - just for yer pet snake! (Be the first kid on the block with this one!)


...And the Suicide Lover's Pistol!!

 

as I was starting to play half life i came up with a good one. Steam. Its the most pointless thing in the world and it takes up almost all my resources! it also requires about 100mb of updates every week. i hate it!

 

Disposable cell phones. Good for like 2 calls.

 

The Sinclair C5 electric tricycle - should have stuck to building computers.

When i install it, I get premium access.

Free users don't.

The other thing to keep in mind is MSN Explorer is MSN's ISP software. Its the equivalent of when AOL used to be bundled with Windows in previous OSes.

That stuff never got updated either, thankfully.

 

I downloaded that and when i run the setup and put in my hotmail email address and password, i get a message saying:

MSN could not find any subscription information for the email address entered.

 

Is it a hotmail address?

as in @hotmail.com?

 

yes neonemesis4@hotmail.com and then it says after that, "Click cancel to enter another email address or OK to buy a subscription plan."

 

Interesting.

Well fact remains, its ISP software and the original is never updated without new ISP software being installed, which requires service.
