Worth updating Windows XP SP2 to SP3?

    Hello I was just wondering if I should install SP3 for my windows XP home edition.

    If I do update from SP2 to SP3, would it erase all of my files? I don't have an external hard drive right now and I think I read somewhere that updating to SP3 will remove system restore?

    Hi there and welcome to MG's.
    Backup all your files and folders first then do your install, i have never heard of what you where saying about the system restore but as i said earlier just backup first !
