This system was working and now it's not. The memory is good and I'm pretty sure the psu is too ( When I put a psu tester on it the psu fan kicks on and the led lights on the tester light up). But, when I install the psu and turn on the computer - Nothing happens. No sign of any power, not even the psu fan kicks on. Would a bad motherboard do that??

Yes, it could. Between the two the PSU is the more likely culprit, but at this point either could be the problem.

Before you start accusing the motherboard have you tried directly shorting the power_on switch pins (momentarily) on the motherboard?

Does your psu tester show a valid PG signal?

Hey!! I found out what the problem was. A bad turn on switch. Whats even better is that I happen to have one I took out of an old machine before I threw it out. It's a perfect fit. Geez, for a change something worked out for me!!! Thanks
