Would Ddr3 8gb (2x4gb) 1866hz Ram Work In Mb That Support Only Up To 1333mhz

    I can get this ram for real cheap, but the MB it would be going into is an 1155 MB which supports DDR3 1333/1066 MHz Memory. Would it still work? I know if it does it'll be run at the 1333MHz, but like I said. I can get ir real cheap.

    Not knowing your motherboard, it probably will, but at the lower speed.

    Geez, ya know I should remember to do that. I've been here a few times and always appreciate the help I get.

    The motherboard is:
    ASUStek P8H67-m PRO /CSM

    You would also need to take into consideration the size of the RAM chips. Motherboards have limits for each slot.

    Yes Justin, which is why I sent him to Crucial.

    Thanks guys for you help. It seems his motherboard just died though so I guess that solves that.
