Write Potected

How do I remove write protected from a thumb drive?
I don't care about the data on it, because I always had the data backed up.

I tried both ways and I still get (device is write protected) so, that tell me that it is damaged, and my Linux computer's won't even mount the drive at all.

 

you can try dariks boot and nuke. Apparently it doesn't work well with flash memory like USB drives but you could still give it a go.
