wtf is MTTW

Help yo, i got this process in my task manger that is MTTW, it takes about 4 meg and there is two of them. When i try to end task it, it just makes more of it. What do i do? thanks

 

I assume you're running XP? I couldn't find much that was computer related for 'MTTW' through Google, except someone posting they had it on some other forum & no answer was given there.

First, have you scanned the computer with up to date anti-virus & malware programs? If not, do so & see what they find.

If they turn up nothing, then go to 'run' and type in 'msconfig' and see what's programs are loading at start-up. Uncheck anything you don't think is necessary and restart. Now check & see if MTTW is still running. If it is, uncheck more things in msconfig & try again. You may even want to go the opposite way & uncheck everything to begin with, then add things until MTTW shows up, then you'll know what it is.

If it continues to show up regardless of what you do above, you probably want to run HijackThis and post your log in the appropriate forum for further help.

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.
