wtf...?

    last night when i was contentedly browsing.. although things seemed to be running slower than usual... my task bar at the bottom changed from blue w/ green start button to beige colour w/ beigier colour start button :confused:

    Not only that ... my task manager went from this:

    not much time had passed for all my system processess to go from me (the primary user/owner) to the secondary users task manager :confused:

    i have since done a system restore and removed the secondary user all together and switched off the guest user acct... so my taskmanager is back to looking like:

    and as a precaution i tried to download and run that RemoveIt_pro thing, i downloaded from here and i get this msg...

    can someone help me with info on what i should be using to scan through and step by steps on how to do it... somewhat detailed would be appreciated and in laymens terms pls :) .... im not that 'geeky' yet, but im trying !!! :rolleyes:

    This is the malware forum and in reality neither of your problems actually sound like malware. Your first problem appears to be resolve anyway so I'm going to ignore it.

    Where did you download RemoveIt Pro from?
    Do you have hiding of file extensions of known file type check or unchecked in Windows Explorer? (See the READ & RUN ME step 2 if you don't know)
    Try downloading another program that requires an EXE file to run like CCleaner does it install OK!

    Oops! i had a feeling i was in the wrong section... Much Thanks though i downloaded and ran that ccleaner and its sped my pc up considerably!! So, cheers dude! :)
