I tried to overclock my desktop and monitor won't come on...do i need to take the battery out and let it reset the bios? and what would cause the monitor not to come on. the computer is running just no signal. first time messing with this stuff also. (don't really care to much about my desktop, figured I would mess with it instead of the laptop 'till I get the hang of it)

    thx

I would reset the CMOS back to factory settings. Usually there is a jumper you move (after unplugging the computer) and sometimes removing the battery will do the trick on older computers.

    Good luck.

sometimes u only have to flip the switch on the back of your PSU. if that doesnt work , pull the CMOS battery for a few seconds then stick it back in
