x530 Logitech and Windows 7

G'day Guys

OS = Win7 (64)
Logitech = x530 5.1
Connecting Via = Coloured Ports (Black/Green/Peach)


OK - This seems to a fairly common prob, but just cant get my head around it.

I have XP running on one hard-drive and WIN7 on the other.. Haven't really played around with Win7 until now and have discovered that my sound doesn't work.
The sound is visible via the 'Speaker' Icon (being that the bar is moving up n down) but no sound is coming out of the speakers.

Underplay back devices I have -

Digital Audio (S/PDIF)

That's it.. ? - This has to be an issue right?

When I use XP - I have the HD Realtek Audio details etc etc..

I just cant figure this one out..

So far I have downloaded - Driver wise

Realtek Semiconductor Corp. High Definition Audio System Software Ver: R2.45

motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia

Please could someone give me the 'Plain Language' update?!!

Simple, hope it is enough to fix it.

1) check / reinstall MB chipset drivers - all of em
2) Right click Computer / Manage / Device manager and check for High Definition Audio Device
3) Start / Control Panel / Sound your speakers should show up there with a green check mark and "High Definition" audio device.

If those are there your hardware is probably correct.
Note that Win7 is no where near XP for real information so your Realtek or Creative or whatever audio can have a generic name.
