Is it worth the upgrade? I'm tempted. But has anyone else jumped on this new platform. Mainly, I deal with a lot of VMs (Virtual Machines) and I'm ram starved. Yes, 64GB of ram isn't much. :-o

So, new standards of 128 GB of ram for a home computer sounds quite nice, vice buying a server board that supports much much more.

I'm planning on waiting a bit, the new 16 GB modules, are rumored for 2015. That is when I'll upgrade. :-D

    Lots of VM's?
Changing to Linux may help more than a new system.
I found I could reduce my VM's by 2 GB each with little effort and that made a HUGE difference in performance as well as the number of VM's I could run.

I'm mostly just using this for learning the overall structure of windows computers. I bought vmware workstation, and then installed esxi 6, then went to town with that. But, I may just downgrade to the more stable 5.5. Even with all that and using linux appliances, I'm still starved.

I think what I need to do is use my two nics, one usual browsing, and dedicate the other to my VM environment. Then I need maybe a 500GB or 1TB ssd for the VMs themselves. Hmmm. :major
