Xbox 360

Hope im posting this in the right spot (and I hope its ok to post on this forum). Have had alot of help here so thought I would try asking here first before I join another forum for help.

I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to the internet via a ethernet cable between my laptop that is ran off of my router. I get me Xbox to connect to the network but it then times out trying to connect to the DNS server of Xbox.com. I have no idea what to do. I have tried 50 different methods of fixing this. I have tried bridging a network and internet connection sharing. Both do the same thing.

("Your DNS servers can't resolve the names of Xbox Live server or Xbox.com" ) <-- error message

Information if it helps (other sites requested it when I was reading there help threads):
System: Xbox.360 first generation.

I figured it out. You can lock this thread or close it.

If anyone ever has this problem and can't figure it out. Try turning off your freaking firewall. If that doesn't work well good luck =).
