    Hey guys,

I'm having a lot of trouble getting me PC and Xbox to talk. They simply do not appear to one another although both are confirmed to be on the same network.

I have checked my network settings and they are as follows:

    Network Discovery: On
    File and printer sharing: On
    Allow Homegroup/Homegroup Metro options checked
    Password Protection: Off

The services SSDP Discovery, WMP Network Sharing, QWAVE and Media Center Extender are all running, and ICS is off.

I have tested the connection with Windows Firewall disabled. Sharing is perfectly fine between me and other computers in the home network.

Using "Media streaming options" from the start menu, my Xbox is not on display there, all troubleshooters have been run. I have tried using Serviio and WMC to the same end.

Thank you, and if there's a better forum for Xbox 360 issues please let me know.

Not following you. Are you using your computer in place of a router, or are you trying to stream media off of the computer to your Xbox-360?
