I am having real problems trying to install the driver for my printer :(
Running Windows XP Pro+SP3. Each time I try to install the driver I get the BSOD with same error coding :cry
Have tried downloading and installing latest drivers, with and without printer connected, but result is same. Are there any known compatibility issues with Xerox printers and my OS?
However, I do know someone with same printer and same OS, without SP3, and their printer works just fine. I have tried installing on my PC without SP3 but still get the BSOD.
Have done a clean installation of OS and run various Registry Cleaners.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

What is the full code of the BSOD as this message can point to a faulting file, which will help narrow or find the cause of your install issues?

The Phaser 6110 is listed as compatible with Windows XP so you should be fine on that, so alternate issues are possibly your antivirus or security applications blocking the install, so disable them to install the driver and make sure you install from the administrators account.

Here is the latest BSOD ERROR message -
    *** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005,0x80F133D,0xB8503AAC,0xB85037A8)

I am pretty certain there is a conflict between the Xerox and another driver :confused
I already have an HP mono laser printer which is working fine.
Google does not help much in tracing a possible conflict :-o
Apart from simply disabling each driver in turn I cannot think of any other plan of action :cry

    Hi

I think you are right as the STOP error does link to driver issues, sadly you maybe right on having to disable a few drivers to try and locate the one thats conflicting.

Do you have any yellow ! marks in Device manager if so name them all?

But I would only disable or uninstall drivers that have come with items like USB HDDs, Printers, Cameras etc not the main motherboard or chipset drivers.

Could follow the Driver Verifier instructions HERE

Do you have two printer drivers installed? if so just try uninstalling both and then re-installing the XEROX one to test.

One other thing to maybe try if you do have two printers installed is to re-install the working HP Mono Laser and then try this generic driver from Xerox HERE.
