The 7600GT hands down. It's newer technology and offers a nice performance boost over the 6800 in the midrange graphics card area.

Would buying the 7600GT be a good investment then? I only ask because I've been looking around for a decent PCI-Express card and this was one of the first cards I saw that was within my price range and met the following requirements I need:

Manufacturer - Nvidia
Memory - 256mb

I have 1 more question aswell if you don't mind answering... When it says 'DDR3 DUAL DVI', what does that mean? Does it mean that I need to have a specific RAM installed or am I fine using it with my current RAM (DDR PC3200)?

it means that the card has gddr3 memory and dual dvi output for dual monitor setups. I did a comparison between the XFX 6800XTreme and a 7600GT and the 7600GT won by just a small bit but still enough for me to recommend it over the 6800XT.

 

Viper Boy is correct. All that means is that the Card has DDR3 Memory on board and has dual DVI outputs for your monitors. Don't worry if your monitor doesn't have DVI because the card will come with a DVI to VGA converter.

For that price range, I think this would be a fairly decent investment. The 7600Gt outperforms the 6800 and if I remember correctly, it also draws less power.
