xp and dialup

Hi.
I just installed XP on my computer, now when ever i open a browser my computer connects automaticly, how can i stop this? in internet settings never connect is checked off but it still connects. any help would be appreciated.

 

You should be able to open your connection (find it by right clicking my network places and selecting properties) and set it so that it does not remember your password. That way, you willl be prompted to enter it everytime you try to connect.
