What is happening to the PC:
    Boot up -appears normal
User accounts offered, when clicked they take excessively long (5 minutes ish) to load the account before the desktop even opens. I am unable to find out from the two system users what they have done and when this started, it's 'been like it a while'. So I can deduce sometime between Easter and the end of June! There was no restore point. I have removed desktop images in case they were too large.
Once log in complete and start up apps running - system runs at normal speeds.

The desktop PC is an XP OS 32bit with 1GB RAM. Initially I reviewed start up programs etc and cleaned that up. I have run ccleaner, the cleaning software suggested on this site , attached are the log files.
(SUPERAntispyware; Malwarebytes Anti-malware; combofix; rootrepeal; MGTools)

Please can somebody advise from the logs and from the description above what is the likely cause - i'm thinking malicious software at the moment.

Please attach the MGLogs.zip separately. Also run and attach the logs for RogueKiller and Hitman.

Here are the hitman and rogue killer logs. There hitman tool tried to upload to cloud the VPN works tool from this PC. I stopped this action as this is not information that should be shared.

I still need you to attach the C:\MGLogs.zip.

In the meantime, rerun Hitman and remove all the PUP's.

I am not finding any malware in your logs. Perhaps McAfee Security is not playing nice with Avast.

Perhaps you should post in the software forum for additional assistance.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.

Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.

Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

PUP files removed and McAfee also removed. Problem still exists but will post in software section if necessary.
    Many thanks :)
