My system specs are in my sig ... this is the FX computer. For some reason the computer will reboot after a few minutes. Any ideas what the problem is? o_O Thanks for reading my post.:)

I can't be sure, but if you have settings to disable a restart when problems occur, you will get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and at least some information about what is causing it.
So I would suggest disabling automatic restart.

Hello there ...wellsir ... the automatic restart is disable ... I don't get the blue screen ... it just reboots without warning. Thanks for reading my post.

Most likely overheating or something amiss with the power supply or voltage regulation section of the motherboard, perhaps a hardware/electrical component failure elsewhere.

Open it up carefully, check for dust buildup, ensure all fans are free spinning. Check/remake all electrical connections. Post the details of the power supply unit.

Also posted here, please don't do this, if you really must do so, include all other topic links for everyone so that we don't waste time responding to the same thing on multiple sites.

Max/RockyAtlanta, you might want to read #3 before joining a new forum just to try to force your troubleshooting method. The consensus at the other forum is also heat/power -related, if that's correct, Windows wouldn't be able to detect any crash quickly enough to create a crash dump or show a BSOD screen. Hardware trumps software, no power, no Windows, no Windows, no BSOD.

Hey now wait a minute. I can understand posting multiple times the same forum, but I have a right to ask question of different people on different forums. If their is a rule that says I can't I would like to see it. .

You've done this for years, sure, you have a right to ask a question, just don't expect everyone to be bothered replying to topics that are scattergunned across the 'net. And I'm almost certain that you've seen the link above before but I can't be bothered to find the evidence for you.

I don't think this is a heat/power issue. The case has been open since I replace the P/S with a new one a couple of weeks ago. I'm getting a system temp of 45C and a CPU temp of 68C.

So you've ruled out the above already?

Wellsir ... I believe the rebooting problem is solved ... I remembered in order to find the latest driver at the Nvidia site Java had to be enabled. When I did that is when the rebooting problem started. When I disabled Java ... the rebooting stopped. Thank you to all those that posted ... I very much appreciate the help. :D

The cpu temp is a little on the high side if it's idle. I would suggest trying putting a new blob of thermal paste on the cpu before heatsink if that is failing then you need to look at a new heatsink fan they are not expensive
