xp explorer home page

Hi all,my problem...when I go to tools/internet options I cannot set a home page(I cannot click on the 3 choices,they are greyed out)I can do anything else in the options I want ,ie..deletecookies, adjust settings or anything else I want to do.I have been browsing this site(which is very helpful)but cant find pertinent info.I have already installed spy doctor ,and cccleaner but they have not helped.anyone have any ideas?I did use to have spybot search and destroy which did block access to internet options, but I removed It hoping I could get access.I now have access but just cant set a home page!!my home page right now(which is not a page ) just says "about:blank"

Do you have administrator priveledges on this computer?

Spybot doesn't typically prevent one from accessing internet options. Also, spydoctor isn't recommended.

Have you visited our (spy/mal)ware forum, to double check if you have some issue?

I have sp2,and I meant spyware doctor.I will vist forum you mentioned.do you have any other ideas

You have malware. About:blank is a common one. The malware forum should be able to fix you all up.
