XP for real?

    When XP first came out I put it on my PC.
    After all this time I am now being asked if
    it is the real thing when I log on.
    I know this is a dumb question for you,
    but for a self though granny,:confused
    I truely do not under stand.I never click on any
    thing that I do not know about or pops up.I have
    my pop up blocker on:) Please do not laugh to hard
    at me.Thank you for understanding.

    Try calling Microsoft and giving them your product key. This may be an error in the Windows Genuine Validation (WGA)software. If your product is legitimate MS will know by the key. You may have to remove WGA and reinstall it.
