Working on Dell with XP Home sp2 that had 3 user accounts, all administrator accounts. I noticed none of them had administrator rights...no control panel available, even right clicking/properties on the desktop gives you this: "Operation cancelled due to restrictions in place on this system - contact your system administrator."

Rebooted to safe mode administrator account and created a temporary user account with admin rights, rebooted and logged in. Everything was fine with the new account until reboot, then it was just like the others.

Now, even the administrator account in safe mode no longer has admin rights??? Now, there is no way to make any changes to any of the accounts...not even changing a wallpaper or getting to the control panel!!

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

    Thank you!

BTW, this forum is wonderful ! Cheers!

    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
