XP Home locks up when rightclicking

Got a weird thing going on. When I rightclick - especially when using Windows Explorer - the computer hangs for about 20 sec, shows a clean desktop for a split sec and then comes back to normal without WE(shuts down) . It doesn't happen all the time, but most of the time I rightclick.
I have tried to reinstall XP, but every time I got a clean install it happens. I might be wrong, but it seems to have started after SP2 install.
Plz, does anyone have any ideas...?

Do you have divx?
They have a problem with sp2.Dont know if they have resolved it.

Any further info out there on DIVX and XP2???
In the case of the problem if its not divx/xp2 might it be the poor old mouse needs replacing - or cleaning ??

The latest version is ok.

 

I do have DrDivX. I'll ceck it out. Mouse should be ok - optical and works rightclick within other apps w/out prob.
