Xp Home Vs. Pro

Answer the poll and tell what would be better for a person who games and uses the internet a lot on the computer.

I currently have windows xp home but I'm contemplating going over to windows xp pro. Are there are big advantages that pro has over home?

 

If you're just going to be gaming and surfing the net, it won't make a difference. Pro is more suitable for networked environments.

What I'd like to know is,
XP Home can't do this
Software Installation and Maintenance – automatically install, configure, repair, or remove software applications.
But Pro can.
I'm assuming they don't mean, through ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, do they?
I'm sure XP Home has that, it would have to at least right?

 

They're taking about doing so remotely from a server. Meaning Home will not work properly with Active Directory, and Pro will. AD is for MS networked environments running 2k or 2k3 server, and I'm 100% sure that this will not apply to you.

I bought Pro so that I could "fiddle" with my machine more. I spend a lot of time reformatting now. I also spend a lot of time cussing and swearing and beating myself about the head with my keyboard. But I am learning.
