I have a Dell D610, 2GB ram, and had a 40GB HDD running xp pro which I recently backed up on to a couple of 8GB USB sticks. Just as well because it crashed next week. I replaced with a wd 80GB. I dont have the origional xp pro disks so I rebuilt with xp home. I downloaded and installed the backup wizard also. However when I attempt to restore from the usb it just seems to put a folder on my C drive called windows backup file. It doesn't actually restore my docs and settings, files, photo's etc.Are the two OS's incompatible for this operation or am I missing something obvious, thanks.
