XP LAN driver needed for Emachine T5602

Hey all

I am working on a Emachine T5602 that came with vista.

I wiped it clean & installed XP Pro for several reasons but anyway,
The drivers from the first link worked except for the Video, SM Bus Controller & onboard LAN.

I tracked down the video driver for use under XP Pro & i used this to fix the SM Bus Controller issue,

But it did not resolve the onboard LAN issue.

I did a search here and some other places and tried various things & drivers but to no avail.

Anyone know where i might be able to locate the network driver so i don't have to install a PCI network card ?
This Mobo only has two PCI slots and need them both for other cards.

ELITEGROUP - MCP61PM-AM 1.0 & it uses the Nvidia chipset, obviously.

If any more info is required i will post back asap.

This is a friends PC and i need to get it finished and back to her asap.

After much research and looking here and there, I have found this... I have come to believe that your motherboard has the Marvell Yukon ethernet controller, and here's the driver:

That puppy worked great!!!!!!!

I guess i should have said it was using a Marvell Network Driver, i just listed the link to the drivers from the Emachine website which has it listed there, unless that's where you looked to see what it was using for the OB LAN

Good lord i tried so many diff. marvell drivers, nvidia, ect i DLed so many and read so many webpages my eye's were ready to fall out

I finally told her, if the worst thing is you have to use a PCI network card, be happy LOL after all the surfing and DLing i did to get drivers for everything else that would work on this thing under XP.

Emachine/Gateway sure screws you now, they even told me because i changed OS's that they could not and would not help me with the driver for the OB LAN :boxing
They definately want to lock you into Vi$ta with this machine!!
And she know's better than to buy a prebuilt rolleyes

I'm glad I could help! I've had some real problems with driver support from Emachine/Gateway. Sometimes they don't post all the drivers, or they have the wrong drivers posted, or they have the right driver but it just doesn't work, or it unzips to a folder with just a readme file... you should burn all the XP drivers to a CD so you don't have to go through this nightmare again.... anyway, I'm glad that I could help and that everything is running smooth.

Well back before they started selling everything with only Vista on it, my daughter had to have a new PC now, could not wait a week for me to order components to build one rolleyes, she was paying for it so....
we went and picked out an e-machine with XP home on it and never had a problem with it or finding anything for it, i don't remember if it was before Gateway bought them, it was over a year ago.

And for burning all the drivers to cd or dvd....
I have programs and drivers still on BU disc's from prob. 8+ years ago LOL
I learned that lesson many many moons ago

I always keep a disc for myself because people seem to be notorious for not keeping track of their disc's and put one in their machine so it don't get thrown in some drawer and lost :major
