   I do not believe that this is malware caused, though it could be, but starting this evening, when I click on My Computer, it takes many seconds for the drives and files to show up. It had previously been an instant access. I have run through the recommended malware removal process as offered by the site and defragged to no avail. Has anyone had this problem in the past or know what might remedy the problem? Thanks!

   Your problem really sounds like a hardware issue. Possibly a failing hard disk.
   
   If you ran the READ & RUN ME, you should attach the requested logs so we can verify one way or another your malware status.
