Recently, i've noticed that when i turn on my laptop that the first screens that appear such as the windows xp logo screen and packard bell screens are smaller and centred in the middle of my screen.

Any ideas as to why? thanks

Have you tried right clicking on empty screen and looking at desktop settings changing the screen resolution will change the screen size and appearance, some programs will change this on their own.:)

Nope, nothing there seems wrong. Remember, it's ONLY the first 2 screens that appear, when the computer is switched on and before it enters windows that are smaller in size.

Does your laptop monitor have its own set-up utility, ie center screen, move screen left, resolution.........etc. That is something we all set-up on first fire-up then seldom use again, might be in there ramage316

No, it doesn't. Nothing like that has ever appeared or been changed. It doesn't seem to be a major problem. I just thought it was strange as it happened all of a sudden and is a tad annoying.
