xp piracy issue

Thanks to Mr Gates I've now discovered that my XP prof is an illegal copy . How can I remove this and revert to my xp home that my laptop came with.
By changing back to "xp home" what services will i loose from my machine

As far I know, you can't go pro over home; you either can buy a key for pro, or start from scratch with home.

Just out of curiosity, why is it Bill Gates' fault you found out you have an illegal copy? Because he got so tired of people ripping him off he had his people create the validation tool?

Sorry but I fail to see this being Billy Gates fault, that you have been told you have an illegal version of XP Pro, did you know it was a warez version before you installed it?

but besides the ethical matters of legal vs illegal, you will have to save all your important documents, files, settings etc anything you dont want to loose as you cannot downgrade from Pro to Home, you have to clean install.

wrecker, im not sure if your allowed to say thoes things, but.....

if you wish to go back to XP Home, your going to need to reformat, then get your hands on an XP Home CD, then use the existing key that should be on a sticker on your laptop
