XP pro win wireless not available icon problem

    Quick question. I am working on an IBM Think Pad 1875? With an Intel Pro 2200BG wireless card. Problem, no wireless. That is fixed, R&R driver, Intel software is working well, new icon on the bottom right of the screen. I need to get rid of the default Win icon showing wireless is not connected.

    Looks like the Intel software is handling the wireless, the Win XP on is not needed and is a distraction. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, brain not working on this one. :D

    I think what you're looking for is here: Control Panel > Network Connections; right click on the connection > Properties. See the screenshot below for more info....

    Thanks dlb, but that does not get rid of the little icon. Oh well, it is going back to it's owner, and they won't care. Should be an easy/quick way to do it, but I am out of time on that 'puter.
