Hi I have a question about XP pro's local security policy/group policy for the gurus on this forum.

Is there a way to apply policies invisibly to the user? I have set up policies on the admin account to block certain programs. However on the limited accounts whenever a script tries to run those programs a windows popup message shows up notifying the user that the program could not be executed due to a security setting. (I already am aware of this, I put in the setting, so is there a way to disable the annoying messages)

    many thanks in advance

    thanks for the information

I already knew about clickoff, but did not like it from past experience, it works 90% of the time, other times it bugs and the windows stays there till you move the mouse.
Plus it is another unnecessary process running in the background which is why I chose to block those programs in the first place.

hopefully someone else has another way around it
