*****xp Sidebar Problem****help!!!

    :( :( :( :( u no tat sidebar in win xp,ull see it wen u goto my computer, and my documents,(on the left side)its the one that says, file and folder tasks,other places(desktop,shared docs,my computer,my network places, make a new folder,publish this folder to the web,details,share this foldr, etc)u nowat imtalking about, well tat sidebar thing is stuck onto my desktop,covering up 25% of it,i can only see 75% of my desktop and desktop wallpaer, its really annoying,its like a small chunk of the left side of my documents got stuck onto my desktop, its pissing me off, i dont no how it got there,it first got on wen i ran a game and the game froze, so i ended task, from task manger,and it sudeenly appaered,its now a part of my desktop,its not alowing me to move any desktop icons(shortcuts)plus i think it messed up some settings, im prety shue its not a virus or a hacker, since i gotupdated protection from norton.i cant even see the recycle bin since it was on the far right corner , the only to see it or to emty recyle bin is to goto windows explorer,i can do almost all the normal things, like right click,new= folder,shortcut,.i just dont no how to explain it, wish icould shot u a pic of my desktop, but i got no scanner,or camera.its like im viewing my desktop in windoes explorer.i hope u can help me, this is the first time smtin bad happened, i m 14 and im a prety good computer expert ,i can fix everyting , even build a comp, this is the first time i couldnt fix somtin my self.thanks all for ure help and knowledge.hope u can help in my time of crisis.thanks!!:(

    i also tried system resore,i have an athlon xp at 1.67ghz,256 mb ram,40 gb hard drive,win xp home,(no service pac 1, wont install,in express setup),and a prety d*mn helty comp, except for crapppy sidebar

    You can take a screen shot without a scanner or a camera, my good man. All you have to do is hit the print scrn button... usually above the insert button and to the right of F12. Then after you've hit that, go to Paint or some other photo editor/creator and paste it in a new file by hitting Ctrl + V or just simply right click and paste. Vio la... no camera or scanner needed.
