XP SP3 vs AV software

    Is it necessary/advisable to disable AV software before installing WinXP SP3?

    I've personally never ran into any issues installing sp3 while the antivirus is running, but if the antivirus program is an active scanner one, it could be slower. So, yes, you could disable it to install it somewhat quicker.
