XP "System" keeps running up to 100%

    Since a week or so ago, my XP desktop runs "System" up to 100%. Does not do this in safe mode. I updated to service pack 3 afterwards but no joy. I have run 5 or 6 antivirus and malware scans, but I still haven't found the problem. Here is my hijack this file, and I'm wondering if any gurus here can spot something I am just missing... tia.

    FWIW, here is a Hijack This logfile with a normal boot, while running properly (should I post a file while running at 100%?):

    A HijackThis log is not going to indicate your problem. You need to tell us if any processes are actually using all of your CPU time and if so which one or ones.

    Your problem may not even be malware, but the best way for us to know that is the below procedure.

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. Make sure that you disable Spybot's Teatimer as requested in the READ & RUN ME!!!
