I have two drives on my machine but only D drive is monitored by system restore, how do I get C drive monitored.
I used Norton Ghost to clone the operating system to drive D and then I swapped the hard discs, the machine operates fine but C drive is not monitored, I do not know if this is the cause.

Have you check system restore to see if its enabled?

goto Control Panel > System > System Restore and check to see if the C: drive is enabled *see pick below* will say Monitoring.....

if its not and as you have a backup I would tick the Turn off system restore for all drives click apply > reboot and enable system restore for all drives again.
