XP Validation code

Hi all. Have been using the same XP software for the last 2 yrs. Pro unlimited license through the company I used to work for. No problems updating and installing upgrades untill recently. Been getting ( non valid ver or something like that) from MS. Can not get any patches or upgrades,ie SP2. Any fix or info would be greatly appreciated because of a need to get the MS05-051 patch. Thanks.

Far too often do we get these requests for help, with people who allegedly have a valid corp copy of XP, and 95% of the time do not.

No way to weed the legit from the non-legit.

 

Capt Dick, you can still get critical patches(only), but you must enable automatic updates.

Any other downloads require validation.

Its a common question or claim. If you have a volume/corporate license of XP you're company's IT folks should be your first resource for help.

 

Tnx Jerkyking fr the imput. Was given a copy by the IT mgr when I worked there.Don't know that would be the place for help. Tnx anyway, I app your trying.
